I’m pretty sure when I did the review and checked SOG’s website it said that the Seal Pup Elite was AUS 8 and the regular Seal Pup was in AUS 6 (of course I could always be wrong). That said, if SOG has upgraded this knife to AUS 8 I think that is excellent news; it’s a higher performing steel with it’s elevated carbon content.
